Shure it is!

At least if you ask Astrid Barth and the other musicians of Get the Cat. A bluesy ballad is followed by a song spiced with soul, and can't you here a little jazz here and there? They call their music "Blues Songs": Small stories about life and love within clear song struktures. Strong hooklines that invite you to sing along and that will still be ringing in your ears when you wake up the next morning.

The impressive voice of Astrid Barth is the binding element of it all. Her dark timbre can transport it all: anger and despair, softness and tenderness. Whatever feeling is expressed, she always sounds genuine, a voice to give you goosebumbs.

Her musical counterpart is guitar player Philipp Roemer. Jazzy chords and bluesy licks, he knows them all and lets his fingers wander easily over the neck of his Telecaster. Guitarists: check him out!

Bass and drums keep the groove: precise, and powerful. Ralph Schläger on drums and Till Brandt on bass supply a rhythm that will not allow you to keep your feet still.

The focus of all their playing is the song, to serve it all four musicians hold back their personal vanity. You will hear some fine soloing in the features each instrument gets, but the four always keep in mind to present their Blues Songs as compact little stories that will simply grab you.
